Description

Saxaul (lat. Halóxylon) is a woody plant, a desert shrub from the saxaul genus of the amaranth family. Shrubs or small trees (1.5-12 m high) with forked branching and brittle young shoots. The root system is powerful, extending to 10-11 m.
